Pita bread with chicken
Homemade chicken pita is a lunch or dinner recipe that will please everyone. If you like original dishes and Greek cuisine, you must make this delicacy at home. Contrary to appearances, the recipe is very simple and quick to make, which means that even beginners can easily cope. Pita bread with chicken is very delicious, and with the following toppings it tastes simply amazing!
Ingredients:
2 chicken fillets
1 onion
tomato
1/2 red onion
Meat marinade:
120g Greek yoghurt
lemon juice
salt, pepper, hot pepper, granulated garlic, herbes de Provence
Tzatziki sauce:
1/2 greenhouse cucumber or one ground cucumber
140g Greek yoghurt
2 cloves of garlic
salt, pepper, dill
Pita (2 pieces):
120g plain flour
150g Greek yoghurt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Add all the ingredients for the marinade to the meat and combine together. Cut the chicken fillets into smaller pieces – each into three strips. Then roll in the prepared sauce.
Cut the onion in half. Insert two skewer sticks into each part. Skewer 3 pieces of chicken on each of the onions. Put the meat in a casserole dish and put it in the oven preheated to 180’C for about 40 minutes.
